Here’s what the figures show:

  • The first plot illustrates the high Mach number turbulent flow inside the device. The results are then used as input to study the aerosol transport of droplets with different diameters.
  • In this half-model representation (right), you can see the propagation of 5 µm droplets, which are released at several times after the nozzle.
  • The surrounding chamber as well as droplet distributions can be adjusted to investigate different configurations.
